Fun little vid series about whole town asking man if he’s written memoir yet

I had fun making it this little vid (see below)
about a person asking this man if he’d started writing his memoir yet. And there are more to come!

Kia Ora, Charlotte Squire here. I live in a small rural community of 5000 people, where word of mouth travels fast.

So I couldn’t resist making a series of videos about a man (nickname: Budge) who can’t go anywhere without being asked if he’s started writing his memoir yet.

I really do have memoir clients who keep putting off starting their stories. And their families tell me about it, hoping I can help.

Once I get them on my radar I start checking in with them occasionally, to see if they’re ready to start yet. I’m not gonna nag them, but sometimes a gentle nudge helps.

The thing is, the earlier they can start the better. These memoir protects can take years!

By the way I teach people to write their memoirs, step by step, on my online course Write Your Memoir.

Most of my clients write them for their families, and some for public readership.

And they often need help figuring out where to start, how to organise their information and deciding what they want to say.

It’s a process and it always takes longer than expected but I think it’s worth it. I’ve had several clients doing it just before they died, and they felt so good to leave their story, written just how they liked it.

But it’s best not to leave it until the last minute! Hence these videos! Many lovely folk working in shops were only too happy to chip in and help by starting alongside Budge 😂 I have more to come, each week, so stay tuned!

Oh and I’ll include the first one, in my local library, below too. So grateful to them.
