Kia ora,
Do me a favour today and look back over your work on your memoir or story so far, and take a moment to appreciate the work you’ve put into it.
If you’ve managed to get more organised – well done 👏🏼
If you’ve managed to do some research – good work 👍🏼
If you’ve written a page, or a chapter – celebrate that 🥳
It’s important to take a breath occasionally and notice how far you HAVE come, no matter how seemingly insignificant it can feel.
It’s so easy to be hard on ourselves, but it’s worth celebrating our progress, and in doing so we’ll probably feel more at ease with our memoir project.
Feel free to comment on this post and tell me about your progress, I’d love to hear about it.
Write on,
Charlotte
PS just a note to let you know the price of my online course Write Your Memoir is going up from NZ$897 to NZ$997 on Waitangi Day, 6 February. The course will teach you everything you need to know to write your story, plus I’ll help you out with the technology part, and introduce you to our lovely community of memoir writers. Join up here.
