Write about your brave moments

I’m celebrating my Aunty Joyce this week, who has just died

She left Devon to come to New Zealand in the sixties to join her feisty big sister Jean in Christchurch. She was only young when she caught one of the first flights to New Zealand, and I’d love to hear the in depth story of what that was like for her.

Did you do something big like that when you were young? Or perhaps you did something brave like that recently? Why did you do it? What was driving you? What was challenging for you? How did you navigate those challenges? What did you learn? What did you then build in your life?

I love to read the story behind the adventure in my clients’ words, and I hope you’ll offer some insight into your feelings and opinions in your story too, because it’s yours, no one else’s.

For those of you who are thinking of joining my online course Write Your Memoir (and it’s absolutely fine if you’re not), the price is going up by $100 Tuesday 6 February, Waitangi Day. You can learn more about all the benefits of joining and sign up here.

Keep writing dear one, and describe your brave moments,
