Celebrate how far you’ve come memoir writer

Kia Ora,

if you’ve just joined me, warm welcome from a Tākaka writer.

This week I want to invite you to take stock of how far you’ve come with your memoir. Sometimes celebration is called for. I know some of you are making great headway, you’re persevering, despite some hard days, and you’re writing amazing stories.

For those just starting out – that’s wonderful too! So many people think about writing their stories but never get around to it. I hope you can celebrate this moment at the beginning.

Here are five tips (with blogs linked) that might help you on your journey.

  1. Just one thing to be careful of.
  2. Five unexpected things you can include in your memoir.
  3. Write about your brave moments
  4. A useful grammar lesson from my eight year old
  5. Your story will start out wobbly, and that’s ok

Feel free to email me and tell me how far you’ve come or about the memoir you’re gearing up to write. I’d love to hear from you.

Write on, because your story matters.
