Kia ora dear one,
I’ve got good news for you.
You can’t go wrong with your book, really. Because at a very basic level, people will read it to learn your story and get a sense of you. And who’s the expert on that particular subject? 100% you!
This bodes well for those of you who worry about being a good enough writer to pull off this whole book thing, and for those of you who worry about being good enough at spelling, or interesting enough, or simply: enough.
The most simple story can be interesting, because it’s your story.
I’ve been interviewing some locals in my community about what they were doing when they were 23. I asked one dear lady, Sheryl, if I could interview her and she said ‘I wasn’t doing anything very interesting.’ I video’d her and here’s what she said.
I put this on our local Facebook community group, and there has been an outpouring of love for her – from friends, former colleagues, and her family. I hope she’s soaking it all up.
And as for you – no one else on this planet will tell it quite the way you will. So trust yourself, and write.
