Share your Christmas story?

Kia ora lovely human,

I think the time has come 🎄

Yes, let’s dust off those Christmas memories of yours and share them with readers of our memoir writing community.

Would you like to email me half a page (about 200 words) about a favourite Christmas memory of yours? Don’t hold back. Be it strange, raw, funny, sad, or simply a very special day, send it my way. If I like it, I’ll share it sometime over the next month in this newsletter, also via my blog and social media.

Where did you spend your Christmases? Who with? What did you love? Who did you love? What did you not love quite so much? Which relatives were the most entertaining? Tell me about the yummy food, and the sweet moments. What was a favourite Christmas tradition for you?

Not a fan or follower of Christmas? What did you do instead?

Got a pic to go with it? Even better. Please send that too.

And maybe, if you’re happy with your half page, you could include it in your memoir.

I’m looking forward to reading it 😉

Now write!

PS just in case you live in Motueka, or know someone living there, I’m gearing up to start a year long memoir programme from November 29. It’ll guide people the process of producing the first draft of their very own book. More info here.

PPS here’s the third of a series of videos I’m filming about a few amazing Motueka locals – meet Gerry Kool the international show dancer:
