Kia Ora! I’m Charlotte Squire. I live with my family of four (plus one rowdy dog, don’t be fooled by his innocent expression) in the small, close knit community of Golden Bay.
Do you what I love? Losing myself in a juicy story and I find them everywhere, in songs, novels, places, and people. All my life I’ve loved bringing those stories to life and sharing them with anyone who would pay attention!
I’m currently (slowly) writing novel number two, writing book number 24 for a client (this one’s a life story/business development book), writing and singing songs, helping companies to communicate well, and teaching people to write their memoirs, life stories and histories on my online course Write Your Memoir.

My all women communications team live in Golden Bay too, working from home based offices in some beautiful places, to help me write, edit and design beautiful books for people all around New Zealand.
FYI Golden Bay is in the north west of the South Island, New Zealand, nestled between two lush national parks.
Clear, honest, kind communication opens doors.
I’ve been a professional writer for 20 years and have had thousands of articles and blogs published in various media including daily, weekly and monthly publications.
I’ve also published a fair few social media posts, sent hundreds of email newsletters, mentored some writers, taught some beginners to write books and worked within a team helping people raise millions to fund the things they care about.
Every step of the way, I’ve worked alongside people to build trust and respect, so that they’ll allow me to collaborate with them again.
Some recent books –

My skilled team have decades of world class experience between them. We do it all: interviewing, transcribing, writing, editing, proof reading, book design and printing.

Appreciation station

“It was my extreme pleasure to take a writing course from Charlotte Squire. Her in depth knowledge of writing formats and useful tips were a lifesaver in my writing group. Charlotte’s talent as a writer and encouragement have given me inspiration and tools to carry on as a writer. Charlotte is a gem!”
Abigail Greene
“Charlotte is warm, easy going, community minded and relaxed about each of us finding our own project, level and capacity at this time to participate. I felt a good balance between structure and flowing with what we were responding to and had energy for. Appreciated the handouts, I made some notes too. Charlotte is a mine of information, knowledge and generous in her sharing of her skills and her own journey with writing. My confidence and sense of possibility and fun grew through this writing course.“
Di Koch.
“On behalf of Joan and I we would love to put forward a huge thanks to Charlotte Squire for helping us to make Joan’s dream come true in completing a memoir of Joan’s childhood life with her family.
We thank Charlotte so, so much and would recommend her to anyone who needs help to complete their dreams on paper.
Friends forever and grateful.”
Joan and Leanna Pollock

“ … We felt that Charlotte’s skill as a writer and her personal qualities as an employee enhanced the value of our newspaper. I know that she was also highly regarded by the people she interviewed and wrote about. After a while, Charlotte was head-hunted by Fairfax to be the Golden Bay correspondent for The Nelson Mail. We were disappointed to lose her professionalism and enthusiasm but happy to see her skills being recognised by a bigger paper …
Charlotte works to deadlines, organises her workload and always delivers on what she promises to produce. She writes with clarity and insight and she can employ different approaches for different subjects and purposes.”
Former owner of the Golden Bay Weekly Neil Wilson
“From the start Charlotte showed tremendous energy and work ethic to deliver stories from her patch. She has an infectious enthusiasm and a positive approach which helps get even difficult subjects to open up.
As a sole charge reporter she was self-motivated to find and deliver her own stories. She was particularly adept at writing feature stories, bringing to life some of the many colourful characters who live in Golden Bay.
She was also able to deliver breaking and other news stories, often working to tight deadlines which she met.
Charlotte had a good attitude to tackling any assignments she was given, and was a valuable member of the Mail team.”
