Learn how to take that jumble of ideas for your memoir, from overwhelm to a plan!

Kia ora,

I’m Tasman writer and memoir teacher Charlotte Squire. I’m a former journo, including for Stuff. I’ve written 20+ memoirs, and thousands of articles and blogs.

I’m so glad you’re taking steps towards writing your story! The world needs you to write it. Seriously, it does. Your story may seem like no big deal to you, but it’s your family’s history. What ever you do – keep writing it, until you’re finished. Write it for yourself. Write it for your loved ones. But keep writing.

But where to start? And what to do with all your ideas and records?

In this free workshop – Beginner’s Guide to Writing Your Memoir (presented to hundreds of people around New Zealand Libraries) – you’ll learn how to:

– Do two short exercises to turn that overwhelming buzz of ideas in your head into a solid plan for your story

– Make two decisions that will pave the way for an easier writing process

– Learn what to do with those boxes of old photos

– Remember my one liner that will help you actually finish your story

– Learn one important, and very fun thing to do with your finished book!
