Who are you writing your story for? Yourself? Your family? The public?
Who ever it’s for, knowing this from the start will also set the tone and determine what you include.
Will you unleash all the skeletons from your busy little cupboard? Or merely sprinkle a few bones through out your story? This is up to you, there’s no wrong or right answer.
There is always the issue of deciding how to deal with the family involved with those skeletons, but ultimately this is your story, told from your perspective.
